The Amalfi Coast Dream
Cliffside villages, lemons the size of your head, and the bluest sea
The Amalfi Coast is the most beautiful stretch of coastline in Europe. It's also the most logistically challenging place in Italy — narrow roads, limited parking, overpriced restaurants, and buses that make you carsick. That's exactly why you need me. I'll plan the ferries, find the secret beaches, book the restaurants where fishermen eat (not where cruise ship passengers eat), and make sure your Amalfi experience is a dream, not a stress fest.
Day by Day
If arriving in Naples, spend the morning in the historic center. Two essential stops: pizza at Sorbillo or Da Michele (the originals — accept no substitutes), and the Naples Archaeological Museum (the best collection of Roman art in the world, and almost never crowded).
Private transfer to the Amalfi Coast (90 min). I use a trusted local driver who knows the road — the famous SS163 coast road is not for the faint-hearted. Check into your hotel in Positano, Praiano, or Amalfi.
First evening stroll along the coast. Light dinner at a family restaurant — skip the waterfront places tonight and eat where the locals eat, up in the village.
NEVER rent a car on the Amalfi Coast unless you're an experienced European driver. The roads are single-lane with buses, scooters, and sheer 200-meter drops. Use ferries, local buses, and pre-booked drivers.
