How far ahead do Colosseum tickets sell out?

Standard entry usually a few weeks in season; the arena floor and underground tiers go far faster and can be gone a month or more ahead. Tickets are released on a rolling window rather than all at once, so if your date shows nothing, check again when the next batch opens. The ticket is typically valid across the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine over consecutive days, which means you can split them across two mornings instead of exhausting yourself. Book through the official site rather than a reseller, unless you specifically want a guided tour, and go at opening or late afternoon.
